I Gotta Plan...

Yes, I have a plan. Actually, I have many plans. In fact I have so many plans I can’t keep them strait and we keep thinking of new ones!

Our plan was to head for Brazil. But now we have a new plan and will head to the Med instead. We are going to spend the next year or so in the Mediterranean. Beyond that, well, we will make another plan.

But before that plan we have to get the boat ship-shape. There is a plan for that of course. Anjea is being painted in Makkum, Netherlands, and we are hoping to be back on board in June to start refitting.

But even before that we have to move out of Helen’s apartment at the end of May, in about a week.

Since we will be homeless for a few weeks between moving out of Helen’s apartment and getting back on the boat, we plan to borrow a camper-van and drive around the west coast of Ireland a bit. Maybe visit Connemara again. I drove thru it to Rossaveel without stopping a few weeks back. It is beautiful, rugged and wild. I had no time to stop and enjoy it back then but am really looking forward to wild camping, walking the hills, eating some seafood, and generally enjoying the Irish summer.

And what a summer it is! 31°C and Dubliners are being warned to keep cool. Winter was long, wet and cold, but just this week the sun has come out and the temperatures have soared. The grass is green, the flowers are blooming, the scent of spring is in the air, and the Irish summer has a-r-r-i-v-e-d.
